Space planning is a fundamental element of the interior design process. It starts with an in-depth analysis of how the space is to be used, with an initial layout plan that defines departmental zones and the activities that will take place in those zones. The initial space plan will also identify circulation routes showing how people will be expected to move through the space.
A detailed space plan follows the concept stage and will include structure - walls and doors as well as furniture and equipment.
A well designed space plan has the ability to transform a tight, cramped office into a spacious workplace and if fully explored can facilitate planned growth for the lifetime of your office.
