During the Concept Design phase, we often create a 3D model to inform the design process. It makes the design come to life in a way that 2D plans and elevations cannot and we use it to inform clients as well as the design process.
The model is generally sketch or semi-realistic but we can apply colours and finishes to quickly communicate our design ideas. We can also edit the model to show options for discussion.
Once the design has been developed further you may decide that you require a photorealistic representation of the design. This type of visual gives you a fully accurate representation and if adopted can be compared to an installed photograph.
It is also possible to create video's using either the sketch or photorealistic model, they can be fixed or interactive and allow you to walk through the proposed design. This is helpful in gaining a full understanding of the amount of space allocated to each area.
Sketch visuals give you a real sense of the interior space and colour schemes. We can quickly produce interior views of the space to help communicate the design. This type of visual will be created to support the concept phase and does not require the detailed design.
Photorealistic Visuals give you a fully accurate view of the design proposal. Some of the Detail Design phase will need to have been completed for this type of visual to be created as all of the detail is visible. We outsource this type of visual as they is a specialist product, they therefore often require at least a week to create.
3D Interactive Model
A sketch or photorealistic video or interactive model will allow you to walk through the proposed design. This is helpful in gaining a full understanding of the amount of space allocated to each area and will also show you how spaces relate to each other.
