LDH (La Doria) Ltd is the leading supplier of canned and dried foods to the major supermarkets in the UK. Having outgrown their existing premises LDH purchased a recently constructed property in the St Ives Business Park in Cambridgeshire. This new building consists of an under-croft car park and two floors of 11,000sq ft. The anticipation was that the ground floor would be sub-let and LDH would take the first floor. We were asked to provide a design that was contemporary, stylish and welcoming to clients, without being ostentatious. Each department was interviewed to ascertain their specific requirements after which an initial layout plan was drawn up, then worked upon until a perfect solution to the space was found. A detailed budget was produced which was then developed into the tender document. We managed the tender process and once the main contractor had been appointed, continued to project manage the design, fit-out and furniture procurement.
