Smartfocus relocated to 13k sq ft on the 2nd floor, Relay Building, Aldgate. We were initially engaged to produce a concept design and budget. After an extensive value engineering process we tendered the works with three D&B contractors. All tenderers were asked to offer a detailed design based on the company branding guidelines. The chosen contractor delivered a CAT B fit-out and the client’s budget aspirations without undermining the design. Once the design had been novated to the D&B company we acted as Contract Administrator and Project Manager. We carefully managed the works through regular project workshops and site meetings which included detailed valuations for fortnightly stage payments as obligated under the JCT “D&B” contract terms.The project was delivered on time and to budget.
