Displaylink needed to relocate offices and in the process wanted to both plan for expansion and ensure staff retention. 140 Cambridge Science Park offered newly refurbished office space with clear options for subletting. We were employed as Design and Project Management Consultants to take the project from inception to completion. The brief for the office space was to maintain and reinforce strong interdepartmental links and support collaboration wherever possible. We added write on finishes to both walls and storage and even introduced additional walls to main circulation routes to maximise opportunities to collaborate. The overall cost of the project was carefully tracked to ensure best value at all times and a careful eye considered all elements that could be reused. A large and flexible client facing meeting suite was included on the ground floor along with an expansive and relaxing breakout area with space for games as well as eating.
