How our office furniture services work
At The Workspace Consultants we’ve been specifying, sourcing and supplying office furniture for many years, so it’s very rare for there to be a UK manufacturer or supplier that we’ve yet to hear about. We regularly attend exhibitions and trade shows to ensure that we’re always ahead of the game with new trends, technology and colour schemes, and that helps inspire us to incorporate the best furniture solutions into our office design projects.
Furniture selection can be something of a minefield, so our experience and expertise mean that we’re perfectly placed to guide you through the process from the start. Whether you’ve engaged us to undertake a full office design or simply to source your furniture on a consultancy basis, we can present various products and co-ordinate the overall specification for you.
Working with us on your office furniture enables us to deliver the most attractive deal available by avoiding multiple supplier margins. We do this through three main approaches:
1 Competitive tender
We can run a tender for the client where we will compile the preferred furniture items as suggested by the contractor's designs and manage the entire process.
2 Direct supply
We may provide a direct supply introduction to a friendly manufacturer; in short we will always recommend the most cost-effective route to procurement for our clients.
3 Open book quotation
We have access to a wide range of trusted furniture manufacturers and are happy to supply you with an open book quotation showing a pre-agreed margin. We feel that this sits well alongside our professional service offering as it provides parity with discounts expected during a robust tender.
It is always your choice as to which direction to take. The only thing we will say is that if we are managing a tender process for the furniture, we cannot be involved in its supply. We’re constantly developing our awareness of the office furniture sector and we regularly update our knowledge base to reflect innovation, research and development. This includes understanding important areas such as provenance, sustainability, quality and warranties.
