Shard Capital relocated from their offices in Blackfriars to the ‘Walkie Talkie Building’. As the building was brand new, many tenant fit-outs were taking place simultaneously, this required careful management and a full understanding of the restrictions in the Fit Out Guide to obtain approvals, this was very much part of our role, as well as ensuring we had a fully inclusive specification at the best possible price.

As we sought to embark on a major relocation and fit out project, I was acutely aware of our lack of knowledge and expertise surrounding such matters. It became clear that we not only needed to appoint a Project Manager to assist, but more importantly one with significant experience in dealing with such projects.
The Workspace Consultants came highly recommended by a trusted independent individual within our existing network and we ultimately engaged them, they turned out to be the best (and most cost effective) decision we made during the entire project. Mike Bird added value in every conversation, meeting, decision where involved, ultimately saving us significant sums of money by advising us well, driving the contractors to achieving completion on time and keeping a keen eye on costs to ensure the project was delivered within budget.
