We were asked to perform a cost consultancy and project management role for a 10k sqft project at Sutton Yard in Clerkenwell. Our services also included ensuring that the client had an all-inclusive specification that provided a good value workable design. We worked with the contractor to help them design an alteration to the fresh air supply in a commercially viable way and sympathetically value engineered the specification to ensure that the budget remained on track. We also achieved cost savings through negotiation on applied rates such that the client was happy with both design and budget. We went on to manage and administrate the contract producing fortnightly valuations whilst keeping a careful watch over variations. The net result was that the project was delivered on time and on budget.
